Instructions For Your Seal All Roof Kit
Ready to put your Seal All Roof Kit to good use for your roof restoration? It’s a simple three-step process nearly anyone can complete.
Step 1: Prepare Your Roof
Before repairing and sealing your roof, you need to clean it well enough to be able to get a clear seal. Begin by using a hose or sprayer to rinse all loose debris off your roof.
Next, mix up our Eco Roof cleaner by adding four ounces of shampoo to 2.5 gallons of water. Use a sprayer to apply the shampoo mixture to your entire roof and let it stand for 15 minutes. If there are any stubborn areas of debris, use a scrub brush to remove them. Then, rinse off the roof shampoo and let it dry.
Step 2: Seal Cracks, Gaps, Seams, and Flashings
Now that your roof is clean, use a paintbrush to apply our specialized silicone sealant to any areas of your roof you want to seal, from cracks and seams to flashings. Allow the silicone to fully cure for 24 to 48 hours before proceeding.
Step 3: Apply Roof Cooling Topcoat
When your silicone sealant has cured, it’s time to give your roof an energy-concealing topcoat. Be sure to only apply the topcoat on dry days with temperatures above 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix the topcoat to your desired consistency and use a roller to apply it evenly to your entire roof’s surface. Be sure to apply it at least 24 mils thick in all areas, using the wet film gauge in your roof kit for measurement. You can repeat the process if you like, after allowing 12 to 24 hours for the topcoat to dry.
